Romy Schneider look-alike?

A few weeks ago I went to a so called 'glamour photo shoot'. The photographer said that I reminded him of the famous actress Romy Schneider. I'd heard that as a teenage girl, but I hadn't heard it again in the last twenty years. So why don't you judge for yourself? Do I remind you of Romy Schneider too? The two pictures in the middle are of Romy Schneider and the other three are 'me' ....

Happy New Year ... and a new challenge!

A New Year's Prayer

May God make your year a happy one!
Not by shielding you from all sorrows and pain,
But by strengthening you to bear it, as it comes;
Not by making your path easy,
But by making you sturdy to travel any path;
Not by taking hardships from you,
But by taking fear from your heart;
Not by granting you unbroken sunshine,
But by keeping your face bright, even in the shadows;
Not by making your life always pleasant,
But by showing you when people and their causes need you most,
and by making you anxious to be there to help.
God's love, peace, hope and joy to you for the year ahead.

May 2011 be a wonderful year for you!

But ... a new year also means a new month, which automatically means a new challenge at Scrappassion. Today the Scrappassion Blog is going international, so all of you can participate in the challenges we have for you, no matter where you live ! If you live in the Netherlands or Belgium, please go to the Scrappassion Blog by clicking HERE. If you live in another country you can now participate in the challenges too, which can be found on the International Scrappassion Blog by clicking HERE.

The first challenge for 2011 is:

Create a layout in VINTAGE style and choose a personal word for yourself which will be your key word or focus for 2011. Please check those blogs mentioned above to see what the Design Team members have create to inspire you!

This is the layout I created. I chose the word 'TRUST' to be 'my word' for 2011.

I put one of my favourite quotes on the photo: 'I trust God will not give me anything I cannot handle I just wish He didn't trust me so much' from Mothere Teresa.

I also wrote three Scriptures on my layout:

  • I will wait for the LORD, I will put my trust in him. Isaiah 8: 17
  • I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 9: 12
  • May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13
