An 'lovely' card and a layout about my dad ...

Last weekend I made this card for a couple of friends who have been married for 25 years. I scanned a page of my Bible, which I printed to use a background patterned paper. The words 'match' the sentiment in the circle...

I made this layout for Scrapbook Magazine. I used the colours from his shirt as inspiration. It is one of my favourite pictures of my dad:

Liebster Award and a few publications

I received this award a few days ago from Melissa, a wonderful friend from Australia. Please visit Melissa's blog here: http://snipsnapcrop.blogspot.com.au/
About the award: This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion. Once you have been nominated you award it to blogs that you like that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage new visitors to visit these new blogs.
Rules for Acceptance: Thank the person who gave you the award and link it back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to 5 bloggers who you appreciate that have fewer than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award. Here are the 5 blogs that I would like to share with you due to their creativity at their craft and their sharing of life stories:

The women I chose are five wonderful godly women I met online. We finally met in real life at a Scrap of Faith retreat in 2008. Their blogs are surely worth reading:

  1. Karen Latham http://www.lathamsnews.blogspot.nl/
  2.  Beverly Warwick http://bubblesofmylife.wordpress.com/
  3. Gayle Smith http://gayles-scrapbooking.blogspot.nl/
  4.  Gail Comber http://missnance.blogspot.nl/
  5. Rowena Field http://willrownco.blogspot.nl/
I haven't been scrapping much in the last two years, since I have been busy building my own business, being a mum and wife and studying at uni. But ... I do have a few layouts to share. They have been published in a Scrapbooking Magazine in the UK.
I was asked to create a layout about 'happiness/ what makes you happy'. I love singing and worshipping God, that makes me happy!
The following two layouts have the same title, but are very different in meaning and look.

This layout is about Emma and Siebe:

Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful weekend,

A few published layouts to share

A few weeks ago I created four layout for a scrapbooking magazine in the UK. It was for a special feature about creating your own frames and borders. Since I wanted to focus on those frames and borders, I kept the layouts fairly plain and simple :-). You will see the pages of the magazine and the layouts below. If you click on the pictures, you will be able to see larger images. Hope you like it!

I was also asked by the same magazine to create a layout for a feature called 'In Her Shoes'. The layout had to be about a woman I admire. I chose Mother Teresa:

A few layouts to share ...

Let's start with a layout about my husband, Siebe:

I don't make a lot of layouts these days, but thanks to Scrapbook Magazine in the UK I am challenged to make at least a few layouts every few months. In the last two months I created the two layouts below, which have been published in their magazine:

This layout was featured in the so called 'scraplift- section' where readers are challenged to create a layout based on mine:

I made this layout using the photo and papers provided by the magazine:

I made a few more layouts, but I cannot show them (yet) ... have a nice day,

Ingeborg.

Cards I made for teenage boys/ young men ...

I made the card above for Jeffrey Arenz, a Dutch teenager, who founded Skizzle (an organization against bullying). Jeffrey has been bullied a lot and decided to no longer be a victim, but do something about it!

I wanted to encourage him in his efforts to make more people aware of the effects of bullying. Skizzle supports victims of bullying 24 hours a day. In my eyes Jeffrey is a hero and a winner!

Once I made the card for Jeffrey, I had a lot of papers and card stock left, therefore I decided to make some more generic cards for teenage boys. These are four other cards I made:

This afternoon I made three quick and easy cards, using scraps of paper, some pins, a stamp and a butterfly punch. Thanks for looking!
